For those wondering about my mom, she had her surgery on June 6.  The cancer was still confined to the kidney, although it had begun to spread into the lining of the kidney.  The surgeon took several samples of surrounding tissue just to be sure, but it looks like we are in the clear for now.  The survival rate of stage II renal cell carcinoma is about 80%.  The oncologist is going to monitor her closely over the next several months. Mom is sore and not back to her old self yet - it may take several months - but she was well enough to come see us this week.  The boys were very happy to see their Grandma, although we had to explain to them th

... please send a good thought for my mom. She was diagnosed with kidney cancer today and will have her kidney removed next Wednesday. Hopefully it has not spread to other areas, as this form of cancer does not respond well to chemo or radiation - so surgery is pretty much the only option.  I am hoping against hope that it was caught early enough, and if removed, will not return. This is not her first rodeo with cancer, and she is fairly upbeat about it.  I'm still kind of stumbling around in a fog and am not sleeping very well.

... of opening up my DA to find a picture of someone's butt (or other obviously sexually-themed photos) on the front page. And before anyone asks - yes, I have my mature filters enabled. It's pretty darned obvious that most of those images are meant to provoke a sexual response and little else.

Hi! I saw your sprites on dragon cave and found you here, I must say you are very talented! I can't wait to see the different dragon sprites you make, they are very beautiful.
Hey, uhm...
I noticed you've got updated Silver sprites - is there any chance someone (probably you?) is going to make an update Silver egg sprite?
I've found that for three or four years now I'm still stuck with the question while in the AP - "Is that a white or a silver?"
Hey thanks for the fav ! I'm glad you like my work ! :happybounce:
I do!  I think I will have to try that color gradient technique on a future project!
What program do you use to make your sprites?
I use Photoshop CS2, but the beauty of spriting is that you don't really need a fancy program.  You just need a pencil tool and a 1 pixel eraser with no anti-aliasing, so even MSPaint is good enough.  Many of my sprites were made in old fashioned MSPaint.  The only thing I couldn't do was transparency, but there are sites that will do that for you.

I've heard good things about GraphicsGale and GIMP, but I have not personally used either of them.
